A family business? How ICAN works with family businesses.
Who you will meet
Big-firm training, independent delivery.
ICAN’s bench includes consultants who trained at the Big Four — Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG — and at global consultancies including Accenture, IBM, Capgemini and Kearney, alongside industry operators who have run the function themselves: finance directors, HR directors, chief operating officers and founders.
Big Four and global consultancy alumni
Senior people who learned the method inside the large firms, and now work independently — engaged for a project, an interim role or a fractional seat, without a partner, a manager and an analyst team billed around them.
Industry operators
People who have held the job you are trying to fix — the CFO who rebuilt a close, the HR director who redesigned a grading structure, the deputy CEO of a family group. Clients often want one of each.
Strategy-house alumni, on request
Former McKinsey and BCG consultants are a smaller group on the bench. Say so in the brief, and an ICAN advisor tells you plainly who is available and when.
FAQ
Before you book.
Is the introduction really free?
Yes. The 30-minute introduction is free and carries no obligation. It is a conversation about the problem in front of you and whether ICAN is the right firm to help. If there is a piece of work, ICAN sends a written scope and a price afterwards.
Who will I speak with?
An ICAN expert in the line of business and subject you choose, with an ICAN partner hosting the call. ICAN picks the expert from its network for your subject and tells you who will join before the call.
Can I speak with a former McKinsey, BCG, Bain or Big Four consultant?
Often, yes. ICAN’s bench includes consultants who trained at the Big Four (Deloitte, PwC, EY and KPMG) and at global consultancies, alongside industry operators. Strategy-house alumni are a smaller group and are matched on request. Say so when you book and an ICAN advisor will tell you who is available.
Is the conversation confidential?
Yes. Every ICAN expert signs a master consultancy agreement that covers confidentiality before any client work, and the introduction is held to the same standard. Share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.
How does the call happen?
On Google Meet. You pick a time on the booking page, the invitation with the joining link arrives straight away, and you can move or cancel it from the confirmation email. If you prefer to meet in person in Dubai, say so in the booking notes.
Can the call be in Arabic?
Yes, for most areas. Mention it when you book and ICAN will bring an Arabic-speaking expert where one is available for your topic.
What happens after the call?
If there is a fit, ICAN sends a short written scope with the consultants it proposes and a price. You interview the people before anyone starts. If there is not a fit, we will say so, and where we can, point you to someone better placed.
