Independent experts

Independent experts, on demand.

ICAN MENA delivers its work through a network of 10,000+ independent consultants, coaches and subject-matter experts — each vetted before deployment — available to organisations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

What it covers

Six practices, one bench.

The network is built against the practices ICAN advises on, so a brief is matched to people who are already screened and contracted rather than to a search that starts from zero.

How vetting works

Nobody reaches a client brief unchecked.

Sourced against a practice, not a vacancy

Experts are brought in to cover a practice area ICAN advises on — strategy, organisation and talent, leadership, finance, digital and data, brand — so the bench is built ahead of the brief rather than assembled after it.

Track record on file

A CV and a reviewed track record are held on the expert’s record — the sectors, markets and languages they have actually worked in — and a brief is only ever matched against what that record shows.

Screened by an ICAN advisor

A screening conversation with an ICAN advisor covers track record, the sectors and markets they have actually worked in, languages, and what they should and should not be put in front of.

Contracted before any client work starts

An expert signs a master consultancy agreement covering confidentiality, data protection and conduct before starting client work. The engagement letter for a client assignment is not issued until that agreement is on file.

Matched on evidence, shortlisted by a person

A brief is matched against practice area, sector, market, language and real availability. An ICAN advisor reviews the shortlist before the client sees it, and the client interviews before anyone starts.

How clients use it

Four ways to engage the network.

Interim and fractional leaders

An HR director, a CFO, a rewards lead — for as long as the role is needed, on a rolling monthly basis.

Project teams

A scoped piece of work — a strategy, an organisation design, a rewards review — staffed and delivered end to end.

Executive coaches

One-to-one coaching for senior leaders, and coach panels for a cohort programme, in Arabic or English.

Subject-matter experts

Named expertise for a defined question — a regulatory review, a market assessment, a technical opinion.

Clients search and shortlist consultants, book and pay for their time, and run the engagement through ICAN Portal, ICAN’s own software platform. It sits behind a sign-in at portal.icanmena.com — access is provisioned for clients and consultants, so the network is engaged through an ICAN advisor rather than browsed as a public directory.

FAQ

Common questions about ICAN and its network.

What is ICAN MENA?

ICAN MENA provides independent experts — a network of 10,000+ consultants, coaches and subject-matter experts, each vetted before deployment — to organisations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt and Jordan. It is a talent advisory firm headquartered in Dubai, founded in 2016, working across six practices: strategy and growth, organisation and talent, people and leadership development, finance and compliance, digital and data, and brand and media.

What is the ICAN independent expert network?

A network of 10,000+ independent consultants, coaches and subject-matter experts that ICAN draws on to deliver its engagements. An expert is screened and contracted before deployment, so a client brief is matched to people ICAN can put to work, not to a search that starts from zero.

How is an expert matched to a brief?

By evidence already on the record — practice area, sector, market, language and availability — not by a keyword search of CVs. An ICAN advisor reviews the shortlist before it reaches the client, and the client interviews before anyone starts.

What is the ICAN Portal?

ICAN Portal is ICAN’s own software platform for HR, recruitment and talent teams. Clients use it to search and shortlist vetted consultants, book and pay for their time, run hiring and performance cycles, and deliver coaching and learning programmes. It is the same platform ICAN’s own consultants use to deliver client work. It sits behind a sign-in at portal.icanmena.com — access is provisioned for clients and consultants, so it is not a public directory.

How do I join ICAN’s independent expert network?

Independent consultants, coaches and subject-matter experts can apply through icanmena.com/careers. Joining means screening, credential and identity verification, and a signed master consultancy agreement before any client work.

Is ICAN MENA a recruitment firm?

No. ICAN MENA is a talent advisory firm. It advises on the design of the people function and the wider business, and delivers that advice through its own network of consultants. Executive search is one service among several, not the business.
